Tandem Assemblies

Two FS Series Couplings connected by an intermediate floating shaft comprise a tandem assembly. The amount of offset capacity is determined by the distance between gear meshes. By mounting flexible halves on floating shaft, advantage may be taken of larger bore capacity of rigid half. By mounting rigid halves on floating shaft, more parallel offset capacity is available. Tandems may also be used in vertical applications with additional modifications.
